Satoshi Yagisawa's often-dramatic concert band works are not only played in his homeland of Japan, but also throughout Asia and further a_x005Ffield. The commission for this work in fact came from Taiwan, upon which Yagisawa drew inspiration from the traditional hunting songs of the Taroko, a people native to Eastern Taiwan.
