Description:
Hymn to a rising Star refers to the morning star that the 3 kings followed to Bethlehem. The opening fanfares through all registers of the orchestra allow you to experience the rising of the star in your mind's eye. An oboe solo leads us into inner peace. After the horns with the deep brass have grounded us again with an intermediate motif with juicy brass sounds, the opening theme comes back in tutti. Oriental sounds allow us to accompany the 3 wise men from the Orient. A large tutti lets the orchestra sound in all its splendor before we return to peace and quiet at the end of the work.
