Description:
Arrangement for symphonic wind orchestra and organ
The music taken from the one-act opera "Cavalleria Rusticana" by Pietro Mascagni (1863-1945) is rightly one of the highlights of classical opera music due to its high intensity and incredibly moving musical statement. The "Intermezzo Sinfonico" can therefore also be heard outside the opera house as part of concert programs in the largest concert halls worldwide. This arrangement is intended to approximate the sound of the symphony orchestra. A performance without organ is optional, but not necessarily recommended. The first performance (of this arrangement) took place on January 6, 2019 in the Stefaniensaal in Graz with the Styrian State Youth Wind Orchestra.
