Description:
Must never be performed. E.G. This is what Edvard Grieg wrote on the score of his only symphony after attending a rehearsal and hearing Johan Svendsen's symphony.
The work remained "dormant" for over a hundred years but was finally performed when the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra (formerly known as "Harmonien") presented it at the Bergen International Festival in 1981. The same orchestra had given its last performance back in 1867.
