This song was written in 1963 for the vocalist Andy Williams to his first Christmas album 'The Andy Williams Christmas Album'. The album record was a success when released but the song is today primarily recognized as a radio favourite for the festive season. The lyrics of the song is about Christmas and various activities related to the Christmas holiday, like Christmas parties and family get-togethers. Many great artists have recorded the song after the millennium. Among these are American singer and pianist Harry Connick Jr. in 2008 and American band Chicago in 2011.
