Peter Schad is known for his distinctive and authentic style - every performance (1983-2023) of him and his 'Oberschwäbischen Dorfmusikanten' remains in memory and delighted young and old. As a composer, he has won many hearts with his music, and the Jawoi-Polka also emphasizes his unique style. Particularly noteworthy in this Polka is the passage with the powerful 'Jawoi!' calls - an expression of community and joy that instantly brings a smile to everyone's face. The Jawoi-Polka was originally created as a gift from the parents for the 40th birthday of Gernot Dammerer, a musician of the Upper Austrian Bürgerkorpsmusik Sierning. In addition to the large wind orchestra version, there is now also a version for small brass music (5-part variable).
The series RUNDEL's KLEINE BLASMUSIK: Making music in small ensembles is the most original form of brass music and is currently gaining more and more importance. In the ensemble, musicians can work on important skills such as intonation and ensemble playing and express their joy of playing in direct contact with the audience. The new series RUNDEL's Kleine Blasmusik therefore offers fascinating opportunities for brass groups that want to play traditional brass music such as marches, polkas, or waltzes in small formations. The concept Quintett + allows for an extension with a two-part woodwind section, a trumpet, drums, accordion, and accompaniment parts for trombone, tenor horn, baritone, or French horn. In addition to the clear score, the sheet music edition includes an extensive set of parts and transposed parts. This allows for many creative and individual instrumentation variations.
