Description:
All compostitions of Josef Hönig (former trombone-player with 'German Hofmann & seine Ochsenfurter Blasmusik' and 'Sepp & die Steigerwälder Musikanten') are written in the bohemian style. Characteristically for his way of writing and arranging brass-music is, to make the sound more modern by combining the typical and traditional 'Ernst Mosch'-Sound with minor and major-combinations and adding diminished harmonies.
The most important things for him are (as well as the only difficulties in his charts) interpretation and dynamic.
To lighten up his simply melodies and to bring in the bohemian touch into, it's necessary to feel the music written between the lines.
