Description:
Around 1914 Gustav Holst (1874-1934) wrote the seven-part work The Planets, which is still the most performed classical work from the pen of an Englishman. The magnificent chorale-like theme from the fourth movement Jupiter enjoys particular popularity. In order to make this music accessible to smaller ensembles and youth wind orchestras, Robert van Beringen arranged the movement for a five-part variable instrumentation.
