Description:
Sverre Bergh was a musical Joy spreader - both as a performer and as a composer. He was involved in radio, movie and theatre music of the highest quality, as a composer of two operettas and a television opera, but also chamber music and church music. Bergh is regarded as the great humorist in Norwegian music. A fugue for fun is music in this context. Written during World War 2, the use of syncopation and jazz lines contradicts the Nazi view of correct music.
