Description:
La Montagne' (The Mountains) is one of the most famous songs by French singer-songwriter Jean Ferrat (1930-2010). He wrote the song in 1964, inspired by the landscape around Antraigues-sur-Volane in the Ardèche, where he had been living since that same year. In the song, Jean Ferrat describes young people leaving for the big cities, far from their native soil. They go in search of excitement, parties, the cinema, etc. In the chorus, the singer describes how beautiful the mountains are, even in autumn and winter, and how they are not boring. Frank Bernaerts created an arrangement for us that reflects the atmosphere of Jean Ferrat's original chanson.
