Description:
The composition project was born in 2013 when, on the occasion of the celebrations commemorating the 50th anniversary of Beppe Fenoglio's death, the Ciriè elementary school named after him had Ugo Cerrato as its guest. On that occasion after his friend's remembrance of the writer, he was asked to read to the children, and to all those present by actor Michele Chiadò, the beautiful "Tale of the Two Hens" dedicated to his daughter Margherita by the writer father on the occasion of her birth. The fable, meeting with great approval, was then the subject of several subsequent readings, always accompanied by a musical background; but the idea of creating music that would fit the reading of the tale in all its features occurred only later, with consequent analysis and interpretation of the text to create the right music-recitation interpolation of the text, with the intention of "capturing" the audience's attention and focusing it even more on the adventures of the characters in the tale. After an initial draft on the piano for possible "musical salon" readings, the composition finally sees the light of day also for reciting voice and wind orchestra, with the kind and valuable participation of the same actor Michele Chiadò for acting.
