Description:
On the slopes of Billingen, north of Skövde, lies the farm Lagmansboda, where Green and his family often celebrated Midsummer. In 1971, he composed the "Lagmansboda Suite", comprising three movements: 1. Bridal March, 2. Lullaby and Gift Tune, 3. Polska and Song.
Owe Green commenced his musical career as a flautist with the band of the Skaraborg Regiment in Skövde, where he remained until his retirement in 1983. He pursued studies in flute, music theory, and conducting at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, culminating in a diploma in music direction. In Skövde, he also worked as a music teacher, and from 1977 to 1989 he served as conductor of the Volvo Wind Band. In 1982, he was awarded the city's cultural scholarship.
