In addition to his work as a teacher and music educator at the primary and secondary school in Stein as well as at the teacher training college and the federal upper secondary school in Krems, Prof. Ernst Schandl was also active as choirmaster of the Krems Choral and Orchestra Society and as conductor of the Krems City Orchestra and the Krems District Teachers' Orchestra.
