With the polka "Lebenserinnerung," composer Markus Waltner offers a musical token of gratitude to Manfred Briechle, the long-time conductor of the Ottacker Brass Band. For 26 years, Briechle shaped the band’s musical development with great passion and extraordinary dedication. Whether as a conductor or—when needed—as a musician on the trombone or baritone: his dedication to the band and his genuine camaraderie made him a particularly cherished figure. The arrangement was composed by Michael Kuhn, known in the music scene as the "Polka King," who lends the polka its authentic Bohemian timbre—a melodious tribute full of gratitude.
