Description:
This piece requires a smaller woodwind-brass ensemble without percussion. Penderecki composed the Fanfare for a parish fair in Poland. This short effective piece will be a pleasure to rehearse and perform by any wind orchestra. A special role is assigned to the trumpet 'nella sala' which attracts attention away from the ensemble.The wide dynamic range demands from the conductor the careful arrangement of the dramatic structure. 'Fanfara' is ideally suitable not only for festive occasions and concert programmes but also as a compulsory piece for competitions.
