Description:
Ligt a Small Candle was released on CD in 2006 and has accumulated over 1 million digital plays in recent years. The song has been especially embraced by primary schools and kindergartens. At Bergen's major annual Festival of Light in 2024, composer Bjarte Leithaug was invited to perform this Christmas song as a sing-along with 20–30,000 torch-bearing Bergen residents under the moonlight. The sing-along was instantly phenomenal, and now the entire western region of Norway knows this Christmas song.
