Originally composed for piano, it was later published for orchestra and gained international acclaim in Russia, France, and finally here in the United States on Broadway. Its probably best known for its use by the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes as part of their Christmas Spectacular in New York City. This well-written and approachable setting makes this popular march accessible for young band holiday programs.
