Description:
This suite is an allegory in which the traditional characters of the Italian art of comedy are on show. Each peculiar character is described through the music: 'Arlecchino', the cunning servant, liar and cheat, dressed in his multicoloured suit 'Pantalone' the merchant's caricature, aged, but still attracted to the young women and Pulcinella the foolish servant, that often shows willingness and common sense. He has an intense vitality and an uneasy nature often mixed with sadness but always intrigued by the world around him.
