Description:
Originally written for the Band of the Welsh Guards, this exciting piece is based on the tune, ‘David of the white rock’. The music begins with a fanfare which is later used in counterpoint with the main theme. There are small extracts of other Welsh melodies which proved a strong feature when the piece was premiered on March 1st 2024 at Guards Chapel to celebrate St David’s day.
