Description:
In this composition, Andreas Ziegelbäck portrays the Traunstein, a majestic mountain in Upper Austria that is often shrouded in mist and clouds during autumn and winter. Only parts of the rugged cliffs are visible, hinting at both the beauty and the danger of the mountain, where tragic accidents sometimes occur. A central motif runs throughout the piece, appearing in different forms: at times mysterious and hidden, at others clear and powerful. Dark, dense textures contrast with bright passages that break through like the first rays of sunlight. From bar 42, the rhythmic clarity increases, bringing new energy. The work captures these contrasts musically - mist and clarity, grace and danger.
The composition was created as part of a workshop of the Bläserakademie Oberösterreich under the direction of Thomas Doss.
