Musicavenir can be translated as "future of music"; Marc Jeanbourquin created this piece as a farewell to a music school of the same name, whose wind orchestra he had conducted for several years. Every farewell has a beginning and so he wrote an "outlook into the future", an opening piece in ABA form with an explosive first part followed by a calmer, lyrical passage. The ending returns to the powerful first theme.
