It was precisely for these people that composer Hans Gansch Sr., a native of Melk on the Danube, wrote this march. In 2025, this visionary wind musician would have celebrated his 100th birthday. He shaped the wind music scene in and around Melk like no other and knew how to inspire generations of people with a passion for wind music and musical camaraderie. Not least, he was able to pass on this love and passion to his two sons, Hans and Thomas Gansch. That’s why we at Woodstock Music are all the more delighted to present a selection from his extensive musical legacy, given a fresh new arrangement!
