Description:
'Le Nozze di Figaro' is one of the three 'da Ponte' opera's which Mozart composed on libretto's of Lorenzo da Ponte (1749-1838) the famous Viennese theaterdirector and courtpoet. The aria 'Non più andrai' is sung by Figaro at the end of the first act: Count Almaviva finds Cherubino hiding in Susanna's quarters. In this aria, Figaro teases Cherubino about his Spartan military future, in stark contrast with the pleasant and flirtatious life he has enjoyed in the Count's palace.
