Description:
As early as April 9, 1946, it was decreed by ministerial decree to use the melody of Mozart's Freemason Chain Song as the melody of the federal anthem. At the same time, a competition was held for the text. On February 25, 1947, the text by Paula von Preradoviu (1881-1951) - Land of the Mountains, Land on the River - with Mozart's melody was declared the new federal anthem.
