Description:
Panorama from the ballet "Sleeping Beauty". The ballet suite "Sleeping Beauty" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was premiered in Saint Petersburg in 1890. To this day, "Sleeping Beauty" is one of the most popular ballets and is an integral part of the classical ballet repertoire. The panorama from Act 2 of the ballet suite describes the journey of the young, amorous Prince Désiré with the Lilac Fairy through an enchanted forest to his lovely Aurora, whom he wants to marry. A wondrous and mysterious music is heard.
