Description:
With the polka "Perpetuum Mobile" (A Musical Joke), Johann Strauss Sohn composed a self-contained polka that could be played in an endless loop. This idea is taken up in Perpetuum Polka. In addition to the elements of a polka, 1st bass, 2nd second beat, 3rd a recurring trumpet signal is very significant for a Strauss polka. The trumpet signal makes it easy to jump from one polka to the next, thus outlining a perpetuum (Strauss) polka - the impressive oeuvre of Johann Strauss Sohn makes it possible. This arrangement was tailor-made for the Vienna Operetta Orchestra and premiered in the Metropolitan Hall Tokyo. Caution: original keys!
