Description:
Inspired by a concert trip to Provençe, this work is intended to reflect all the beautiful memories and impressions of this region. The beautiful nature with blooming lavender fields, impressive mountain ranges, dreamy little villages, but also the joie de vivre of the inhabitants, sometimes a little chaotic. Two folk songs typical of the region were used as thematic material, a Rigadoun which I was able to hear on a carillon, as well as the very well-known "Sur le pont d'Avignon". The work "Petite Fantaisie Provençiale" was commissioned in 2022 by the Blasmusikverband Baden- Württemberg e.V. as a compulsory work for hour choirs at competitions.
