Description:
On the occasion of its 850th anniversary, the Swiss municipality of Reinach (canton of Basel-Land) commissioned Gauthier Dupertuis to compose an energetic and rousing work for its wind orchestra, the MG Konkordia Reinach, under the direction of Maestro Miguel Etchegoncelay.
The work, originally written under the title Reinach Jubilee, is conceived as a small overture and is carried by an almost uninterrupted pulse that runs through the entire piece. The festive character of the opening contrasts with a quieter middle section, before the work gradually returns to the solemn and jubilant gestures of the opening.
