In "Real-Pop", Kees Vlak takes us through modern Japan in five movements. The modern overture is dedicated to the city of Yokohama. A charming contrast is the second movement, a ballad about the quiet winter in the north of the archipelago. Sentence three is about skiing, which is very popular in Japan; on the ski slope we also meet the shy Chinese girl from the fourth set.
