As part of its 850th anniversary, the Swiss city of Reinach (Canton of Basel-Landschaft) commissioned Gauthier Dupertuis to perform an energetic and stirring work for the city's wind orchestra, the MG Konkordia Reinach, under the musical direction of Maestro Miguel Etchegoncelay.
Reinach Jubilee follows the form of a miniature overture, marked by a regular pulse from beginning to end. The first section, which has a decidedly festive character, contrasts with a calmed middle section, which gradually returns to the solemn and jubilant outbursts of the work's beginning.
