Description:
Run is a cover version of a song by the British band "Snow Patrol". "Run" is a passionate rock ballad sung by Leona Lewis to the person who is "the only right thing in everything I've done". Perhaps that person is Leona's boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa, the electrician she's known since she was eleven. In the chorus, Leona sings: "Shine on, shine on / Like you have a choice / Even if you can't hear my voice / I'll be right next to you, love". These words could almost be the words of Leona's boyfriend. "Louder, louder / And we run for our lives." ... RUN
The arrangement of "Run" for wind orchestra, written by Martin Scharnagl, sheds a new light on Leona Lewis' soulful ballad. He succeeds in preserving the emotional depth of the original and fully exploiting the tonal diversity of a wind orchestra.
