Description:
St. Nicholas Fantasy is a medley of traditional Luxembourgish songs about Nicholas of Myra, whose story is celebrated on December 6 in various European countries. Playfully adapted into different styles such as bossa nova, samba, swing, dixie or jazz waltz, these songs describe the irrepressible anticipation of the children for the gifts that this holy man brings. The medley includes the songs Kanner, loosst mer lëschteg sinn (Let's be happy and cheerful), Am Uewe potert d'Feier (The fire crackles in the oven), Nach eemol gi mer schlofen (Once again we go to sleep), Am December, vru Niklosdag (In December, before St. Nicholas Day), Ei, ei, ei! Lo ass de Kleeschen hei (Now St. Nicholas is here) and the most famous Luxembourgish St. Nicholas song Léiwe Kleeschen, gudde Kleeschen (Dear St. Nicholas, good St. Nicholas).
