Description:
Franz Lehár's 'Scène phantastique' from 'Ein Märchen aus 1001 Nacht' offers a magical journey into the world of the Arabian Nights. Composed early in his career, this work showcases Lehár's innate gift for melody and evocative orchestration, painting vivid scenes of oriental fantasy with shimmering textures and exotic harmonies, a delightful prelude to the operettas that would later make him a household name.
Dutch arranger Roger Niese transcribed this 'Scène phantastique' for Symphonic Band.
