Description:
Swabian Jura - a declaration of love to his homeland, the Swabian Alb. With this march, the composer Lars Bischof describes the different facets of the Swabian Jura in musical form. Beautiful valleys and gorges, rock formations and endless heaths, hilly fields and meadows lined with dense forests. But also harsh winters, rapidly changing weather, windy fall days, lush green spring mornings and hot summer days. The poet Eduard Mörike once described the Albtrauf as a blue wall; the Albtrauf rises up majestically, visible far down into the "Täle" as far as our state capital.
This march composition starts just as majestically, as if you were standing at the foot of this blue wall with the intention of climbing it. In the second part, the musical portrait leads us along the rippling water as we hike through the Magental valley, past rocky slopes and tall fir and beech trees, interspersed with fields of wild wildflowers. Accompanied by the chirping of birds, before we reach the breathtaking Alb plateau after a strenuous climb. After another steep ascent, this musical journey ends with a pleasant realization - this is our home.
