SHINY ULTRA was created for the "Symphonic Band" of the Gymnasium Ost in Heide (Schleswig-Holstein) and its musical director and conductor Matthias Heidenreich. I fulfilled the musicians' wish for a poppy, positive-optimistic composition with a piece that could serve as product advertising on the one hand, and as a kind of theme music to a soap opera on the other. In the early days of this format, it was manufacturers of detergents and soap who not only used it to advertise, but also wanted to entertain their viewers with a television series (broadcast daily). The soap opera was increasingly replaced by modern series formats, which, however, always retained the "ingredients" of the daily soap: The cast of the protagonists (usually) remains unchanged, creating an ongoing story – framework conditions characterized by smaller and larger ups and downs, as they can also be found in school life. SHINY ULTRA is structured like a pop song and can serve as recognition or credits music (of an orchestra). We all know that not every day is SHINY ULTRA.
