Description:
The polka française "Sängerlust" op. 328 by Johann Strauss was composed in 1868. Andreas Simbeni's wind orchestra arrangement, which is designed for flexible instrumentation and percussion, also enables smaller orchestras to effectively bring out the rousing energy and characteristic brilliance of this polka. This work has often been performed at the famous New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
