Spooky's Day Off was a big hit from the Rotterdam Soul Band, Swinging Soul Machine with singer Iwan 'Spooky' Groeneveld. During the recording sessions Spooky took a free day, and the band recorded this purely instrumental number 'Spooky's Day Off' which then spent 14 weeks in the Top 40 in 1969. James Kennedy arranged this swinging version for wind band.
