Sub Vexillum (Under the Flag) was composed in February/March 2025 and is primarily intended as a march for parade. The composer used the march as a contribution to the Royal Norwegian Navy Band's informal march competition in April this year. As usual in Strand's marches, all instrument groups play the melody somewhere in the march. It is a typical march from this composer, full of rhythmic and melodic treats and with surprising modulations along the way. The sound file is generated from the Music notation software.
