Description:
Jacques Offenbach (1819-1880), composer and cellist of German origins, as a teenager he moved to Paris and in France spent most part of his life. A prolific composer, he wrote a hundred 'operettas', many of which have one act only and very few singers. His first main work was 'Orfeo all Inferno.' The most recognised work is 'The stories of Hoffmann', from which Ofburg has produced the arrangement of the most famous tracks (the Minuet and the Barcarola) for the String Casual Band.
