Description:
Tempus Fugit begins with a ticking clock, to which gradually small, repetitive motifs are added. The introduction builds to an optimistic ‘Carpe Diem' theme. 'Seize the day'. The Allegro that follows gives a reflection of our hectic society, played in a rushed feeling. After an eruption a more reflective section follows, and then the Carpe Diem is heard once more. The composition ends as it begins, with the ticking clock that never stops. Time never stands still.
