Commissioned by Mr. Jurgen Briffa for the 150th anniversary of the King's Own Philharmonic (Malta), the suite is divided into three distinct contrasting movements: the first movement has a march-like character and is meant as a tribute to the celebration of the 150 years of "The King's Own Philharmonic. " The second movement, with a slow pace, is expressive and serene. A carefree and light movement joyfully concludes the composition.
