In cooperation with book author and cartoonist Rupert Hörbst and the Police Music of Upper Austria, Dr.
Harald Haselmayr created the music education project "Chefinspektor Claus" in 2015. The
premiere in December 2015 filled the Oberbank Donau-Forum (approx. 900 seats) to the
last seat.
Since then, the overture "The Sound of Christmas", a
Christmasy, lively opening piece, has been available as a spin-off from this project. Beginning with a solemn,
lyrical melody, the piece transforms more and more into an imaginative adventure with
the setting "Christmas market". Quotes from well-known Christmas carols as well as visitors
who have looked a little too deeply into the glass can - with a little imagination - be discovered in this overture. With a duration of just over four minutes and a bombastic ending, this work is ideal as a lively opener to your Christmas concert.
