Description:
Vertical Acceleration paints a musical portrait of a journey through the cosmos. The music begins with a short, rhythmic motif that propels us forward as the engines ignite and the ascent begins. The music becomes more melodic, stronger, and more powerful as the spacecraft and its passengers break free from Earth’s gravitational pull. As their capsule glides through space, the music evolves into a slower, more ethereal, melodic theme based on the opening motif. This theme continues as it gains in power and intensity. On the spaceship’s return flight to Earth, the music becomes increasingly faster and more rhythmic, shifting to a 7/8 time signature. It culminates in an uplifting, powerful, and emotional finale as the intrepid astronauts conclude their journey.
