Description:
The piece is divided into three sections. It opens with a musical depiction of dawn in the Val di San Valentino, a side valley of the Val Rendena, evoking the harmony and contrasts of nature. The second section recalls the devastating fire of 1929, which from a small spark destroyed much of the village of Vigo Rendena. The piece concludes with "A Song for Vigo Daré," a wordless melody dedicated to the musicians of the Vigo-Daré Music Corps on the occasion of its centennial anniversary.
