The title, derived from the Latin word *vividus* ("lively," "full of life"), symbolizes the character of the work: Powerful rhythms, striking fanfares, and a catchy melody shape the musical fabric. Traditional elements of the classical wind band march blend with fresh harmonic accents to create a sound that is both modern and familiar. Following a striking introduction by the brass section, a lively main section unfolds, before the cantabile trio provides a striking contrast with its expressive melody.
