Hard to believe, but the still famous and popular Christmas carol 'Winter Wonderland' by Felix Bernard was first published in 1934. The lyrics were written by Richard B. Smith. The song remained famous through the interpretation of many famous artists throughout the years. One of the most important versions is the recording of the legendary Andrews Sisters. The arrangement for wind orchestra by Heinz Briegel is strongly based on the original. It is kept simple, but skillfully orchestrated. Briegel has included the jazzy elements and harmonies in his arrangement. Take your audience into a pre-Christmas fantasy world - into a 'wonderful winter landscape'!
