Description:
For its 125th anniversary, the Stadtkapelle Owen (Germany) commissioned the Austrian composer Fritz Neuböck to write a new composition. You're Welcome - this short, simple greeting, which is familiar from many vacation situations - basically means: "It's nice that you're here." It was precisely with this message, "glad you're here", that the Stadtkapelle wanted to welcome its audience to the 2025 anniversary concert.
Fritz Neuböck was happy to fulfill the request for a "rousing piece" and also incorporated quotes from the 17th century Protestant chorale Geh aus, mein Herz, und suche Freud. You're Welcome is ideal as the opening piece of a concert or as a fresh prelude to the second part of the program. The cheerful mood is guaranteed to spread from the orchestra to the audience.
