Description:
With the introduction to "Thus Spoke Zarathustra," Richard Strauss certainly composed the most unmistakable opening of all time. Here it is, arranged by Gottfried Hummel at an intermediate level of difficulty to make it accessible to smaller orchestras as well.
The famous, solemn fanfare—which many also recognize from the film "2001: A Space Odyssey"—is followed by a calm, chorale-like section featuring harmonies ranging from romantic to dissonant. However, this section can also be omitted if you wish to use only the famous fanfare as an introduction for any type of concert.
