The Brand Folk Band, based in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria, looks back on a long and rich history. A particular milestone was the inclusion of "South Bohemian Brass Music in Brand–Nagelberg" in the Austrian Register of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.
To mark the 5th anniversary of this distinction, Chairman Jürgen Uitz commissioned a composition by Manfred Hirtenlehner, intended to serve as another milestone in the association’s history.\u00A0For years, the warm hospitality in Brand has been on display at the international brass band festival "Der böhmische Traum," where brass band enthusiasts gather time and again to celebrate their love of brass band music together.
The polka is intended to be a musical declaration of love for brass music itself, as well as for the life of the association, the traditions behind it, and all those who preserve this culture with heart and dedication.
