This Batucada à 6 consists of an introduction and various movements in Latin rhythms and individual solo sequences. The 6 drum sets should be set up in a semi-circle on stage to create spatial and visual effects. The prescribed mallets allow for subtle sound and dynamic effects. The piece trains listening skills, rhythmic cohesion and careful ensemble playing at all volumes. In addition to its educational value, it is also very spectacular in a performance or concert program.
